You have no idea how long I have waited to say that!! Yes, it is finally official...we have a beautiful 4-month-old baby girl. We learned yesterday afternoon that our case went to court yesterday morning and we had been approved to adopt our HotDog. Yahoo!!! Words cannot express how happy and relieved we are. Of course, as with everything in this adoption, something good cannot happen without being followed by a bit of bad news. Up until now, we would wait the 30-days (which is standard after court decisions in Kyrg), then an additional two weeks for the child's passport. However, we heard yesterday that it is currently taking two months to get the child's passport ready, which means we will be waiting an extra two-to-three weeks. So it looks like I'll be heading back to pick up OUR DAUGHTER (it is so cool to say that!) at the end of September. While I am sad that it will be two more months before we can pick her up, I know it will fly by. Considering that we will have been working on this adoption for two years when she comes home, two more months is a drop in the bucket. Now I can finally start working on her nursery again (I shut the door and didn't think about it while we were experiencing the delays)...and yes, Christen, I promise I'll post some pictures of it:)
In the meantime, I'll offer you a sneak peek at our little girl; I don't feel entirely comfortable posting her picture until the 30-days is up and the paperwork is signed. Once the 30-day wait is over, I'll be plastering her picture everywhere!

How did I miss commenting on this HUGE event??? I've been busy (which is a good thing) with regular life and haven't visited blogs as much as I should. I'm SO HAPPY for you that you are through court and she is YOURS!! You know how very pleased I am that your last hurdle (except travel) is behind you and Hotdog can come home!!!

Congratulations. I know how excited you must be to finally know that she is your daughter (officially). As you know, I think she is adorable. I know it will be hard waiting until September, but having the boys involved in fall activities will help.
